The sixth datsan truck (type 520), which appeared in 1965, was the first model designed to be separated from the passenger car Bluebird, which had previously shared the basic design.
The original area around the front was similar to a 410 -inch bluebird, but in 1968 it was a modern design reminiscent of a 510 -type bluebird, and the model name was changed to 521.
In the United States, it was the number one imported commercial vehicle in the United States, and was a model that contributed to the market expansion of the whole Japanese car as a whole.

A new specification appears in TLV's 521, which was released for the first time in 2021.
