The reprinting of Tezuka Osamu's gekiga works, which were published in the short story rental magazines "X" (Suzuki Shuppan) and "Kage" (Shadow), will be published in book form to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the birth of Tezuka Osamu and the 50th anniversary of gekiga. In addition to "Ochiban," an ambitious work in which the author recognized the potential of gekiga derived from Tezuka's manga early on and challenged himself to deepen its expression, the collection also includes essays and illustrations that appeared in the short story rental magazine "Kage" for the first time, making it an interesting collection from a manga historical perspective.
