The 2000 type, which operates on the same line, appeared in 1989 and replaced existing vehicles called "Yellow Electric".
The same form realized energy -saving and maintenance, and pursued the improvement of passenger services, living, and comfort.
Currently, 36 trains are enrolled and operated on all Meijo and Meiko Line.
