The Tokyu Corporation 8500 series is a vehicle that has appeared in 1975 based on the 8000 series in order to respond to the subway Hanzomon Line.

Since 2003, it has been active on the Tobu Line with the direct operation of the Tokyu Denentoshi Line -Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line -Tobu Isesaki Line (now Tobu Sky Tree Line).
In addition, yellow tape has been attached to the end of the car since 2014.
The 8631 formation continued to work as the last red belt in the 8500 series on the Tokyu Denentoshi Line, but ended commercial operation in May 2022.
